Joel is an active member of U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS), competing both for personal fitness and at a high competitive level. His swimming profile includes the following highlights:
- Club Affiliations: He has competed with clubs such as WH2O (West Hollywood Aquatics) and participated in events within the Southern Pacific Masters Swimming region.
- Key Performances: In 2008, he was ranked in the USMS Top 10 for the Short Course Meters (SCM) season in the Men’s 35-39 age group. Notably, he recorded a time of 4:32.53 in the 400 Meter Freestyle.
- Versatility: Beyond the pool, Joel is an “all-around” athlete with interests in running. He has participated in endurance events like the Star Wars Half Marathon.
